I had fairly high expectations while going into this book because of all of the good reviews I had seen from people on Goodreads, as well as all of the praise it was receiving on Booktube. I was excited to dive into it, but a little weary about whether or not it was going to live up to the hype.
I can honestly say that I did enjoy this book. While it wasn't quite as amazing as I was expecting it to be from what I had heard about it, it was definitely a fun read, and I would definitely recommend it to others.
All of the characters were flawed, which was nice to read about since flaws in main characters tend to be ignored in YA fiction, but this book acknowledged them head on. It also took on a lot of issues which are important in today's society. Things like feminism, suicide, and domestic violence were all represented, and none of the issues were sugar coated.
Over all, I am very happy with this book, and I am so glad that I decided to pick it up sooner rather than later. I can't wait to pick up the next book in this series as soon as I can get my hands on it.
